Murcia International Airport (RMU) — Your Gateway

Puerto de Mazarrón is about 35 minutes' drive from Murcia International Airport (Corvera, RMU). It flies to London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and other UK and European destinations. Alicante-Elche Airport (ALC) is around 1 hour 20 minutes north, with a broader network. Almería Airport (LEI) is around an hour to the south-west. No NHS Access for Spanish Residents

This is the most critical point for British expats in Mazarrón travelling to the UK. Since 1 January 2021, British citizens who are resident in Spain and not also registered with the NHS are treated as overseas visitors for NHS purposes. Emergency treatment may still be free.
